Among the most popular, and important, resources available on the NCCC website are personal stories from individuals about the devastating impact of cervical cancer. From the videos produced at this year’s NCCC conference in Atlanta to the personal experiences shared by hundreds of website visitors, such stories are incredibly powerful. these narratives convey messages of strength and hope and raise awareness about the importance of prevention.

Given the value sharing such personal stories and experiences, NCCC is embarking on a new project?producing an ebook collection of stories from patients, parents, family members, providers and advocates. We anticipate that this collection of stories offering personal perspectives on cervical cancer and HPV disease will help both raise awareness among the general public and offer hope and solace to patients and caregivers.

If you’d like to contribute, there are a few guidelines. The suggested word limit is approximately 500 words. All submissions will be edited for grammar and clarity, and to eliminate any identifying information about particular providers. While we would love to include a byline and photo for all selected submissions, you may also choose to have the story published anonymously. However all submissions for publication, anonymous or no, must be accompanied a signed release granting NCCC permission to publish your story. We hope you’ll consider sharing your story!
